1. Israel warns it will “escalate military operations to a broad war” with Lebanon if a settlement is not reached between the two countries by Mar 15. They have exchanged tit-for-tat military escalation through drones and airstrikes since Oct 7, which have among other things forced the evacuation of some 80,000 Israeli settlers close to the border, a large economic blow for the Zionist state.

2. Palestine Update: Israel continues to attack civilians waiting for aid, as a 20th Palestinian dies of hunger. Western media pushes UN report, which admits to “an absence of comprehensive forensic evidence” and to not meeting “any survivor/victim of sexual violence,” as evidence of sexual violence on Oct 7 by the Resistance. A kibbutz spokesperson and the grandmother of the two sisters in the “Screams Without Words” story deny they were raped. An aid-blocking organizer, Baruch Ben-Yosef, is reportedly a missing suspect in the 29-year murder of a Palestinian activist in the US. The EU invested in Israeli weapons research after Oct 7. The US urges the Resistance to agree to a 6-week “ceasefire” that would make the Resistance give back hostages (its main bargaining chip) yet impose no conditions on Israel; an agreement is not close according to the Resistance. A hostage returned to Israel from Gaza said IOF bombardment was “the first time [they] really felt like [their] lives were in danger.” Israel approved permits for 3,500 new illegal settlement homes in the West Bank.

3. The US National Guard has been deployed to help NYC police, whose 2024 budget is US$5.4 billion, search bags in the subway under the guise of crime reduction. Bourgeois governments across the imperial core have increased their crackdown on public dissent (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the UK).

4. Ukraine Update: Russia said Northern European facilities housing US nuclear weapons would be legitimate targets in a possible war against NATO. A Ukrainian archpriest who called the Azov regiment “Nazis” and accused them of false-flag attacks in Odessa faces up to 8 years.

5. The US pressured the Western-chosen president Ariel Henry to resign, as the Haitian people have prevented his return to the unrest-plagued island by paralyzing the local airports.
