Non-Taught History

In 2003, the US, Canada, France and EU officials held a meeting to overthrow Haiti’s democratically elected president Jean-Bertrand Aristide and to decide the fate of the country. Similar to today’s meeting mentioned in Point 3, no Haitian representatives were present. The coup d’état would be successfully carried out in early 2004.
