1. Palestine: Israel spent over US$1B defending against Iran’s strike, which succeeded in penetrating its air defence for a fraction of the cost. Two NYT testimonies of supposed rape by Hamas lied, and Israeli police in the area and at the Nova music festival found no cases of sexual violence. Israeli media falsely claimed its forces killed a Resistance leader. The Knesset gave an award to a pedophile sex ring trafficker. Tel Aviv reportedly granted 12 licences for exploration of Gaza’s offshore oil. The woman behind the “67 Palestinians raped a teenager” story admitted she lied.

2. Empire: The US is playing “a central role” in death camps holding 56K people in occupied Syria. Canada fears its upcoming Victims of Communism monument honours Nazis. The NYT censors its journalists from using words like “Palestine,” and “genocide.” Germany seized pro-Palestine Jewish funds, while the US mass arrests anti-genocide protestors. The US is likely putting its troop in danger by refusing to leave Niger.

3. Global South: The start of 2023 was the most violent period in Haiti in 2 years. China cancelled Zimbabwe’s interest-free loan. Burkina Faso expelled French diplomats. Colombia wants to join BRICS+.

4. Ukraine: Delayed Western aid forced Ukraine to ration ammo for months.
